This policy applies to the Orderly website, customer ordering experience, restaurant dashboard, and related communications. “Orderly,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Orderly platform. Restaurants using Orderly are independent businesses and may have their own privacy practices.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, login details, and account preferences.
- Order and delivery information: items ordered, restaurant, pickup or delivery choice, delivery address, requested time, instructions, promotions, loyalty activity, and order history.
- Restaurant information: business contact details, locations, menus, staff memberships, operating settings, and payment-account status.
- Payment information: payment status, transaction identifiers, amounts, and limited payment metadata. Card details are collected and processed by our payment provider; Orderly does not store complete card numbers.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, session data, request identifiers, security logs, and error or performance information.
- Communications: messages and information you provide when requesting support or responding to service notifications.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to create and secure accounts; send orders to the selected restaurant; process payments; support pickup and restaurant-managed delivery; send order, account, email, and SMS notifications; provide loyalty and favourites features; prevent fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and improve the service; meet legal obligations; and respond to support requests.
We limit collection and use to purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. We will seek additional consent where required for a new purpose.
3. When we share information
We share the information needed to complete an order with the restaurant you select. That may include your name, contact details, order, delivery address, and instructions. Restaurants are responsible for how they use customer information in their own operations.
We also use service providers for payment processing, hosting and media storage, email and SMS delivery, security, error monitoring, and related infrastructure. They may process information only to provide services to us and may operate outside Canada, where information can be subject to local law. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Cookies and sessions
Orderly uses essential cookies and browser or session storage to keep you signed in, maintain a shopping cart, remember ordering choices, provide security protections, and operate live order features. Disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.
5. Retention and safeguards
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including order records, support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You may update many account details from your account page. You may ask to access or correct personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or request account deletion by emailing info@orderlyonline.com. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or transaction-record purposes.
To stop promotional messages, use the unsubscribe method provided. Transactional order and security messages are necessary to provide the service. For restaurant-held information, you may also need to contact the restaurant directly.
7. Children, changes, and contact
Orderly is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
